For those who may not know, New Jersey's energy benchmarking model utilizes various data analysis to understand energy consumption and cost trends of each evaluated facility. Benchmarking also compares the buildings' energy performance to other similar buildings using portfolio manager and identifies opportunities for improving operations, reducing costs and participating in relevant Clean Energy incentive programs.

Join us and ICSC in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut for an evening of networking with top real estate executives on January 16th at Little Town in New York City, 366 West 4th St. Events like this are specifically designed to foster and promote relationships between public officials and retail professionals. These public-private partnerships are an important component of thriving downtown and commercial areas. ICSC members and non-members can attend.

They'll also be accepting donations for the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, with the proceeds allocated to help communities affected by Superstorm Sandy. Finally, do good for both your business and community at the same event.

Job Responsibilities

As an Outside Sales Representative, you will engage in a moderate amount of travel to both customer locations and industry conferences. It is beneficial that you are personable and comfortable with people on the phone and face to face.  You will be responsible for explaining and recommending our services to customers, based on their needs, desires and interests.

Additional responsibilities for the Outside Sales Representative include:

• ·         Generation of new sales leads and cold calling potential clients
• ·         Networking at industry conferences and tradeshows
• ·         Answering questions regarding services, prices and credit terms
• ·         Consulting with clients after the sales to resolve problems and provide ongoing support
• ·         Monitoring market conditions, product innovations and competitors’ products, prices and sales

 Requirements

As an Outside Sales Representative for Pioneer Properties, you must be a dedicated, driven and experienced sales professional with a perpetually positive attitude. It is possible that we will provide you with company transport for sales calls, but you will also need your own reliable form of transportation.

Additional requirements of the Outside Sales Representative include:

• ·         Minimum 3 years of sales experience
• ·         Experience in construction and/or facility management, preferred
• ·         Existing sales contacts in the retail industry and/or commercial properties, highly desirable

We're proud to call New Jersey our home. The Mid-Atlantic Buildings and Facilities Management Show & Conference is happening November 7th-8th at the Garden State Exhibit & Convention Center in Somerset, NJ, so you know Pioneer Properties will be there. 

 In concurrence with this year's show, there will be a two-day educational conference, featuring a series of seminars covering things like LEED, sustainability, energy, construction and design, invaluable information for any facility manager.

As one of New Jersey's facility maintenance and commercial construction leaders, we love to rub elbows with our bretherin and get the scoop on New Jersey's construction industry trends. That's how Pioneer Properties stays at the top of the game, and our clients love us for it!

On October 31st at the San Antonio Henry B. Gonzales Convention Center, we won't be in costume. Rather, we'll be with the group of facilities management experts at IFMA's World Workplace Expo, a chance to talk about facility maintenance and building construction trends.

IFMA's World Workplace Conference & Expo is the largest, most longstanding and well-respected annual conference and exposition for facility management and related professions. Each year offers a new experience, addressing challenges and strategies that are universal to every facility type, shape and size.

World Workplace is the only facility-focused educational and networking event on the planet backed by more than 30 years of experience, knowledge and a commitment to quality. We're excited to be a part of this amazing show to learn about ways we can better adapt to the global construction marketplace.

Now we need to decide if we should pack our Halloween costumes or not. Decisions, decisions!

On Wednesday October 17th, Pioneer Properties will be attending PRSM Live, a networking event for facility maintenance professionals in the commercial construction industry. It all happens between 4 and 7 pm at Stout NYC.

As Pioneer Properties works closely with many retail chains, we love these events. It's a great time to reconnect with clients and colleagues, and hopefull make some connections that can lead to new construction business. Even if it doesn't we still get the free appetizers. Score!

Every year, BOMA recognizes the best buildings in New Jersey with The Otustanding Building of the Year (TOBY) awards. We'll be one of the facilities managers in attendance when the winners are crowned Wednesday, October 24 at the Brookdale Country Club in Florham Park, NJ. 

None of our construction work is nominated this year, but it's important that we attend so we can see first hand what the trends in commercial construction are so we stay at the cutting edge of the facilities business. Here's hoping for next year!

PRSM's Mid-Year Conference is upon us once again and Pioneer Properties is going to be there. Being held September 18-20 in New Orleans, this year's conference has the themePioneer Properties wants retailers of all sizes to know about the importance of construction concerns when it comes to the viability of their locations.
